The cost of dental care can be a barrier for some individuals and families. Parkview Dental Centre participates in the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP), a federal program designed to help improve access to essential dental services for eligible Canadians.

If you or a family member do not have private dental insurance, the CDCP may help support your dental care needs. Our team is available to help answer general questions about the program and assist with coordinating care once coverage is confirmed.

Who Is Eligible for the CDCP

The Canadian Dental Care Plan is available to eligible Canadians who meet the following criteria:

• No existing private dental insurance
• Adjusted family net income under $90,000
• Resident of Canada for tax purposes
• Filed an income tax return for the previous year

Important Information About the CDCP

Understanding how the Canadian Dental Care Plan works can help you plan for your dental care.

• The CDCP is not a free program. Depending on your income level, you may be responsible for a portion of the cost of care.
• Not all dental services are covered. Some treatments may require prior approval or may not be eligible under the program.
• Application processing times may vary. Coverage confirmation can take several weeks and, in some cases, up to three months.

How to Apply for the Canadian Dental Care Plan

To apply for the CDCP, you may need the following information:

• Social Insurance Number, if available
• Proof of income
• Full legal name and date of birth
• Home and mailing addresses
• Details of any other government dental programs
• Most recent tax return and Notice of Assessment
